We led the AI strategy and delivered Phase 1 and Phase 2 foundations for an embedded, secure, and scalable AI capability.They were looking for a partner with experience in building AI powered applications and integrating custom AI models into existing products. Built a RAG-powered knowledge copilot (Azure AI Search + OpenAI) for contextual search, cited answers, summarization, and real-time writing support inside task and project views.

The Story of Fundment
Fundment is a modern, UK-based investment advisory platform, built for financial advisors to manage their clients and their portfolio. As the company grew, their priority was clear: scale quickly without ever compromising the security and compliance their business depends on. They wanted a rock-solid backend that could support core financial operations today and keep pace with tomorrow’s growth. To get there, Fundment looked for a partner who could strengthen their technical foundations secure, scalable APIs, automated testing so releases stayed safe, and reliable orchestration for complex regulatory workflows. They also wanted their internal teams to adopt best-practice engineering habits so the platform would remain easy to evolve and maintain.
The Opportunity
Wealth Management platforms have to go through intense regulatory scrutiny, while expectations for clients keep increasing. Legacy systems often fragment onboarding, transactions, and reporting that create operational risk and make it hard to be auditable. As Fundment’s customer base increased, so did the complexity of it’s operations and compliance requirements. The team needed to support more concurrent activity across onboarding, transactions, and reporting without service degradation. The current manual testing method slowed the addition of new features, and increased iteration cycles which complicated their internal development process. They wanted to ensure the backend architecture was modular, supported adding new features while remaining maintainable for the internal engineering team. This created a clear opportunity to establish an API-first, modular backbone with orchestrated, auditable workflows and automated testing. By redesigning the service layer for performance and security, introducing stateful orchestration for regulated flows, and embedding CI-driven testing with environment parity, Fundment could unlock faster delivery, predictable scalability, and a compliance-ready operational posture. Success meant a backend that was secure, scalable, testable, and easy to maintain for future updates.
